MGH Nurses' Alumni Association
Supporting Nursing Education and Professional Development

The MGH Nurses' Alumni Association supports nursing education and professional development, research, and community engagement, and works to record and maintain the history of nursing at MGH.
Continuing the legacy of the MGH School of Nursing (1873 - 1981), the Association has over 500 members including graduates of the original MGH School of Nursing as well as graduates of the MGH Institute of Health Professions School of Nursing.

that the NAA published a cookbook in 1961 upon the 150th anniversary of the MGH entitled “We also cook…”

The book was compiled and edited by Adele L. Corkum ‘34 and Miriam J. Huggard ‘31 and contains magnificent illustrations by Eleanor D. Pitman ‘25. Included is a “New Hampshire Indian Pudding” recipe from Ruth Sleeper ‘22, three different version of “baked beans,” and 140 pages of many other “delicious and tried and true recipes.”​​
